TERMS & CONDITIONS

Payment & Credit Card Policy

Payment is due on the day of a booking and is to be paid at the front desk of Lynx. We accept cash, credit or debit. We do not accept e-transfers. For recording sessions payment must be made before entry into the room is permitted.
Lynx requires the registration of a valid credit to place a booking, but no deposit payment or up front payment is required. Registered credit cards will be charged on the day of a booking only if payment is not received as outlined above or in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to 24h before the start of a booking: no charge.
Cancellations made between 24h and 2h of the start of a booking: charged 50% the cost of the booking.
Cancellations made within 2h of the start of a booking or no-shows: charged the full price of the booking.
Any time cancelled on the same day is subject to the terms above – this includes shortening a booking.

Any same-day cancellation or no-show fee will be charged to the registered credit card to charge unless received in some other way prior to the booking’s start time.

Bookings cannot be cancelled online within 24h of the booking’s start time. If you need to cancel on the same day, please give us a call (416-485-9999) or email info@lynxmusic.ca to avoid being charged full price.

Same-Day Adjustments

Within 24 hours of a booking’s start it is “locked-in” and cannot be adjusted online. To cancel or make a change with the 24 hour “lock-in” period please give us a call (416-485-9999) or email info@lynxmusic.ca. We will try to accommodate same-day adjustments if we have availability and the adjusted cost is not less than original booking. Any reduction to a booking’s duration is subject to the terms above.

Late Arrival

No compensation will be offered for any time lost due to late arrival and the full price of a booking will be charged regardless of late arrival.

Setup/Teardown & Cleaning

Setup and teardown are to be done within the duration of a booking. Entry to a room is not permitted prior the start of a booking. A room must be returned to its default condition within reason and vacated by no later than the end of a booking. Resetting a room includes returning any furniture, equipment, etc. that was moved to its original location, tidying up any trash or messes, exporting/saving any files, etc.

Equipment/Backline

The equipment included with a room rental is listed on that room’s “Equipment List” on our website. Anything that is not explicitly listed on the equipment list is not included with a room rental. Additional equipment, cables, etc. may be available for a fee in addition to a room’s hourly rate. A list of additional rental gear can be found on our website. Clients are welcome to bring their own equipment. A room’s furniture and equipment may not be removed.

Technical Support

Clients are generally responsible for the setup, operation, and teardown of any rehearsal or recording equipment. Lynx staff will assist as much as possible but are not generally available to help with anything other than a quick overview of our gear, or to replace any broken equipment. Support may not always be immediately available. Support for any non-Lynx equipment is never guaranteed.

Connecting Your Own Computer/Compatibility in our Recording Rooms

All recording rooms include a Universal Audio Apollo interface which connect by Thunderbolt 3 and require the computer to have installed Universal Audio drivers. We recommend downloading the drivers in advance from Universal Audio’s website. You are also welcome to bring your own portable interface, or connect via 1/8” aux cable (playback only).

File Storage & Transfer

Lynx is not responsible for the storage or transfer of any files left on our computers. Clients should ensure they have a storage device or other arrangements in place for any files.

Standard rehearsal rooms: 8
Tavern and Amphitheatre: 12
